Time line ideas for my interactive piece
This one is taken from the multi media museum and is based on games design and how everything has changed and what predecessors there were. What I especially like about this timeline is the scrolling effect when you roll the mouse over to one side of the timeline, although it does lack a thumbnail for quickly jumping to certain eras like with the bbc website which is located below this link.

The BBC website
The second interactive timeline I found was the bbc history one which includes a wide range of topics, to check it out go to this link >> http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/british/launch_tl_british.shtml

Idea for my animation
The style I want to use for my animation is what they used in the film fight club, this is a scene from his condo where all the things he had brought from the IKEA catalog are just appearing and furnishing his apartment.

Cool idea on making a games console
This is a link to a guys work on Behance, its a really groovy idea which looks visually amazing i reckon, just shows another perspective of graphics in games as in how the consoles themselves feel and look.

Making sound from nature
This video is of a guy hooking up microphones to a bonsai tree and recording the sounds he could make with it, I thought it was a brilliant example of foley sound effects.

Film Titles
For my research into current motion graphics I used youtube to find comtemporary and old examples of film titles so that I could make a comparison between them to know how much they have changed since films began being produced or at least mass produced.
The first one I looked at was a typography themed sequence for the film pulp fiction. This video features text and a soundtrack.
The next video I checked out which appealed to me was this one, its better than the first one because it employs more techniques and modes of visual communication such as video, text, soundtrack, 3d animation and after effects.
This third video is simular to the one above but also features several more different methods of portraying the artists image to the viewer, the included methods are video, text, soundtrack, 3d animation, after effects along with stop motion and features lots of typography.
This is a quick demo of how film titles have evolved since films have been made. im sure this video will explain itself.
This video caught my attention after watching it cause it has a lot of terminology in it and things which relate to making movies. it also features all effective methods of visual communication by using video, text, soundtrack, images and 3d.

Graphic Development in Video Games
This is a short video off Youtube which simply outlines the evolution of different gaming genres and how they have developed which is sort of what I am doing but in a less sophisticated way.
Is this where the future is heading?
This video is detailing what things you could do on their new Project Natal, like the Wii they are trying to make more family friendly games.
Meet Milo ^^
This website has a interactive timeline which is sort of along the lines of what I want to do.
http://www.nationalmediamuseum.org.uk/gameslounge/
This is sort of along the lines of what I want to do, but im aiming to make complete 3d virtual environments to accompany my timeline although I will be sacrificing content by including less games/years.
